Support » Requests and Feedback » way to add links similar to WordPress bookmarklet?

  • You know the WordPress bookmarklet for starting a blog post? It would be way cool if there was a piece of script or a plugin that would add the link, description, RSS feed for a page you were visiting/

Does that exist? If not, I would love to see it. Thanks!

  • Add links page – scroll down.

Don’t think it does RSS though …. but then your readers could find that anyway ?

    That ROCKS! Thanks podz!!

For those of us using Safari there is also a del.icio.us bookmarklet type feature. You can then put your del.icio.us links in your sidebar with this plugin

What is also nice about that is it isn’t necessarily a permanent link on your blog. You can set the delicious plugin to post only a certain number of recent bookmarks, etc. If you are like me, I bookmark a site (now with delicious) while surfing, and then go back later to look more thoroughly. If I like it enough on second glance, I then will add it to a more permanent list, and with delicious, its always accessible, any browser, any machine.

Scuttle is great – it’s like your very own delicious 🙂

about scuttle, just got it installed, imported my del.icoi.us links, and now to add them in. I might look at the del.icio.us plugin and see if it’s as simple as changing a few things. That would be a feat for a novice like myself.

The “Add link” thing in WordPress doesn’t work with Internet Explorer. Is there an alternative that does?

Yes, I know I could use Firefox, but I like to keep my options open.
