I just installed WP on my Mac running Mamp Pro as a development environment. My site appears fine in Safari browser, but Firefox gives me this error on my index.php:
The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
Now I saw some advice on here that recommended deleting the .htaccess file and regenerate the permalinks, and I looked at that, however I don't have an .htaccess file in my site root (and yes, I have invisible files turned on.) I even created a blank one from scratch but that didn't help. It's there - why doesn't Firefox like it?
