I recently upgraded to 2.8.4 after an older 2.1 was hacked.
After several weeks of no problems, I can no longer post my weekly newsletter which is actually quite big 13,000 words.
When I hit the publish, it appears to post, and even the commentary shows up on the front page, but when you click to go to the full page its not there.
Is this a matter of it being too big, or am I getting hacked again?
Try the basic stuff first, disable plugins and switch to the default theme.
Or it could be a mod_security issue. Check if your host has changed any security settings.
Probably a few other possible causes as well, but gotta start somewhere...

Okay...
Taking out the theme and putting the default back allows me to post.
I can then put the theme I was using back up, but doing any kind of editing of the file will make it all disappear again.
