Hi ! I am using Wordpress 2.8.4 but I want to downgrade to an older version..probably 2.7.1 or lower. Can you please tell me how to do that, without affecting my present posts, plugins and layout ?
I don't wanna change my layout and the posts, if at all I may be required to install the plugins afresh I can afford to do that.

Why? Older versions have unpatched security problems, which can leave your site vulnerable to hacking.

Posted 3 weeks ago #i am about to do the same thing. i can not find a working theme. I spend days trying to set it up then find it it will never work because it is supported on an older version of wordpress.

Don't do it. You'll spend the rest of your days cleaning up after being hacked otherwise!
