WordPress MU versioned download files

Hi, I’m packaging WordPress MU to be part of the Debian GNU/Linux systems and would be great to have available a versioned list of available download files (as in http://wordpress.org/download/release-archive/) in order to keep track automatically of the lates release and it’s name.

Curretly, I use http://mu.wordpress.org/download/ link which returns always ‘latest.tar.gz’ as the most recent version, and it’s difficult to track which version number is without visiting the page to check it.

Can I get an official numbered version list somewhere to setup my auto-alert stuff to notice me when a new release is available?
