   hi all :-)

   A client needs a page on their wordpress site which showcases certain brands. They are already using tags for various articles on their site.

   They will add various editorial articles on certain brands so on this brand page, I need a tag cloud widget that only displays the tags of these brand names.

   Ideally what I need is a way of creating a 'parent tag' called 'brands', creating all the brandname tags as children of 'brands' and then finding a way of just listing these children tags in a tag cloud (excluding all other tags on the site)

   can this be done?

   thanks for any advice / suggestions.

   //edit --> in fact, it doesn't even need to be a tag cloud - just a list of tags would be fine.

   Tags really have no hierarchy, but categories do.

   If you insist on using tags, what about using a category for Brand, then tagging the posts and using a plugin such as http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tdo-tag-fixes/ to give you a tag cloud from posts in the Brand category.
