Hacked: how to find malicious code? (2 posts)

    Hello folks,
I believe my site recently got hacked due to the software being out of date (i know,I know...). It has been flagged by google for the following reasons:
    http://www.google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=http://www.upstatecruisers.net/&hl=en

Malicious software includes 2 scripting exploit(s).

Malicious software is hosted on 1 domain(s), including gcounter.cn/.

This site was hosted on 1 network(s) including AS21844 (THEPLANET).

It doesn't seem too infected, and I suspect the bad code to be a js file somewhere, but how do I go about finding it? I have FTP access but am locked out of the WP front and backends.

    Any help appreciated!

Instead of combing through everything, consider just cleaning it all out once you make sure you've backed it up. Replace what you can (like core WordPress files and plugins) with fresh copies and then just check whatever original files you do keep for hacked code.
