Pages turned into posts after upgrade

    Hi,

    I am using Yahoo Small Business hosting and after upgrading to WP 2.8.4 all of my pages turned into posts, so my site is all messed up.

    I’ve deactivated, updated, reactivated all of my plug-ins, I have upgraded my theme (Atahualpa), and am not sure what else I can do.

    Is there a way to change these posts back into pages without having to redo my entire site manually?

    The most obvious approach would be to restore your site from backup, to the previous version of WordPress. If you didn’t keep the backup yourself, check with your web host (Yahoo) as most hosts automatically do backups for you. But, hurry, as they don’t keep them long before overwriting them with a newer copy.

    Once you’ve restored, do an Export. When you Import (in WP 2.8.4), your Pages will still be Pages. I’ve done and heard of lots of Export/Imports and never heard of anyone having Pages turned into Posts.

    Might also use phpMyAdmin and make sure the wp_posts table shows your pages with a post_type of “page”.

    My page became a post today, how can I switch this or rectify this? I’ve tried deleting the wordpress and reinstalled, and the same problem persists, does anyone know how i can fix this problem??
