    Re: Version 1.3.3 | By Roman Platonov | Visit plugin site

    I have loaded this counter, made it active, but I don't have a clue as to what needs to be placed on a page to get it to operate or how I go about looking at results. Does anyone know of a URL where I might find this information? Or if you know of a counter that has documentation I would appreciate the information.

    Thank You
    Nevyn

    Well here are the instructions;

    1. Upload and unpack pn-counter.zip to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
    2. Download and unpack into any directory in your site free MaxMind GeoIP city database
    3. Activate the plugin through the 'Plugins' menu in WordPress

    What I did to install was unzip then put up into the plugin section, however I did not load the GeoLIteCity.dat file...and the wording "in your site free MaxMind GeoIP city database" is not exactly a complete sentence and makes little sense to me. It that something that needs to be loaded? If so it requires a special zip software (GZ) which I do not have. If that is the case then this is pointless for me.

    the instructions say

    1.# Download and unpack into any directory in your site free MaxMind GeoIP city database (with a link to where you get that)

    If you have not done that. you need to. thats why its in the instructions.

    I guess I just missed that part...poor reading skills I guess...however, after looking at what it takes to unpack the gz files I will try a different counter...something with a more common unzip format.
