[resolved] [Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Internal server error after update and single images not showing (2 posts)

Hi, i tried to update automatically the nextgen-gallery plugin.
The process ran smoothly, no problems, no error messages but:

    1) when i came to visit the site, the single images (made with [singlepic ide=xx]) were not showing anymore in the posts; i can only see the links, while the gallery thumbnail (made with [nggallery id=xx] are showing correctly instead

    2) when i try to edit a post, clicking on the nextgen-gallery button in the editor, i receive an "Internal Server Error"

    Can you help?

This is happening for the second time, after an update: the last time i couldn't solve it but making a completely NEW install of wordpress, and having the newest version of the plugin from the beginning. I would like to avoid doing this again :)

    Solution found.

Since my local copy was working perfectly i tried to approach it as an hosting issue. My hosting provider is the italian Aruba, which needs permissions to be set on 755. The upgrade process probably changes files permission and leads to server errors.

I made a permission repair from the hosting control panel (but should work from the ftp client too) and now everything seems to be fine.

NB: it also needs a strong cache clean, after the repair
