Hi folks,
I can upload files just fine, using either the stock WP Upload Media page, or the WP-Easy-Uploader plugin. However, I can't find the files in my uploads directory when I look at it with my FTP client.
I'm in a shared hosting environment, and the WP installation is in a subdomain. I was getting errors in my uploads, so I looked at my Miscellaneous Settings. The original upload setting in my Misc. Settings was: /hsphere/local/home/account_name/subdomain.example.com/wp-content/uploads, and so I changed it to wp-content/uploads. Right?
So then I tried to deactivate and delete the WP-Easy-Uploader plugin. That wiped out Firefox. I can login, but then I get the White Screen of Death -- it just continually loads, with no visual. I can get the page source, however. Checked the source with a validator -- it's fine.
Now I can only login with Safari (haven't checked IE yet). I did clear my cookies and cache, but it did not restore my access with Firefox.
So I'm moving forward without FF, trying to solve my upload problem. Now I realize the WP-Easy-Uploader plugin has not actually been deleted from the server. So I delete it. Then I try to upload it (using FTP) to my plugins directory, but now Wordpress can't see it. The plugin is in the plugins directory, but it's not coming up on the WP Plugins page.
So any help with either the file directory / upload problem, or with the Firefox white screen problem would be very much appreciated.
Thanks tons in advance!
