• We are currently having a really annoying problem where every so often we get an error where when we upload images into the post editor it comes up with the parameters 0 x 0 rather than the image itself. It sometimes then comes back to life itself but now we have been waiting for hours to no success.

Is there any fix, or can I increase something to sort this?

    Thanks.

  • Could be the uploaded file size of picture is larger than the one set in your WP installation.

I have tried to use previous images that have successfully uploaded and this didn’t work either.

Some of my blogs are doing this to. They are doing it randomly too. I have my pictures set for 400×600 max. Even when the picture is uploaded, it shows it as measuring 0x0 and doesn’t bring everything up normally. The picture is still added up to the sites files but need to manually pull it down and change it. Sometimes it even just whites out the page… Anyone??

It is such an annoyance, it is back AGAIN. Thought we had fixed it.

    Some other causes of 0 x 0
    – Plugin conflict, specifically PodPress – if so, deactivate it.
    – If no PodPress installed, your PHP is running out of memory while creating the other image sizes or you need to have php-gd library installed or you need to increase your GD library memory in PHP. Ask webhost for assistance for memory in your server, different servers different ways.

How much do you need to increase the memory of the php-gd library?

I’m also experiencing this problem for some images.
