   Hello, I have been running wordpress 2.8.4 almost 2 months and I didn't have problemas at all, but now a message appears on the dashboard telling me to upgrade to version 2.8.4, but i am confused because I AM running that version, so why so I have to upgrade to the same version...

   Hmm strange. It doesn't necessarily mean you've been hacked but it's also not supposed to happen. If I were you, I would download a backup copy of my database and download all my entire wordpress files (including theme and plugin files). Then I would click the link and see what happens. If something does go wrong youc an just restore from the backups - but be sure to change your password immediately after restoring.

   hey, don't worry,

   all non-English WP releases have a history of prompting to upgrade to the same versions:
   Using 2.7 but having a message to upgrade to 2.7-es_ES

   Thanks guys for the info....I was also thinking that it could be something related to my wordpress language.

   I see what happens
