This is a site I built using WordPress as a CMS: chartwellit.co.uk
Any comments or feedback on the site would be welcome.
I created the theme graphics and logo in fireworks CS4.
Some plugins used on this site:
wp-cufon renders The 'Qlassik' font in the logo & headings, so the headings are all plain text in the xhtml.
Smoothgallery for the slideshow on the home page
A slightly tweaked version of the easy-faq
Easy Contact for the contact form
Pixopoint Menu for the dropdown menu
The sidebar menus are a combination of
GD Pages navigator for the sibling/child page menu, My Category Order for news testimonials & other categories which will be added, and Advanced Text widget
PS Auto Sitemap
Yoast Breadcrumbs
Thanks for looking
Your site is a good example of just how far WordPress has moved from being just a blogging platform. You did a great job, well done.
I particularly liked the FAQ page. I personally do not like the easy-faq plugin, but now that I have seen just how it can be tweaked I will have to take another look at it.
Thank you for your kind words Arnold.
The tweaking on the easy-faq was very minor, I liked the functionality of the plugin, I removed the table column for the date of each question, added some extra css rules into the theme stylesheet and enabled the admin for it to be displayed on the dashboard for editors as well as administrators.
Thanks Sam. You're too kind.
I've also been working on a downloads page, which from a WP perspective is probably more interesting than other pages on the site. It isn't listed on the menus yet as it currently has dummy files only. For sneak preview: www.chartwellit.co.uk/downloads
The functionality for this page was added using:
- PostTabs, Tweaked to move the CSS into the theme
- Mike Jolley's excellent Download Monitor
- Some CSS to add in the correct icons for the filetype based on the functionality in the File Icons plugin.
Now that is a useful section - I'm sure many users would like to achieve this
note - I couldn't help but click on "Secret Document" :>)

I hope you weren't too disappointed with the content of the doc - or rather lack of content ;o)
