[resolved] how do I upload an image file for my Atahualpa theme blog header? (5 posts)

Okay, I feel like a total idiot, but I cannot figure out how I upload my masthead image! I'm using the Atahualpa theme, and it says in the dashboard "All header images are located in /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/."

Great, but how the heck do I upload my file to get it in that !$*@&^ directory?

I can *see* the directory when I go to the url for my blog and add /wp-content/themes/atahualpa/images/header/ after .com, but I can't figure out how to get my files IN the directory.

The pathetic thing is I actually did it before, with another blog, but cannot for the life of me remember how! Nothing like trying to learn new web software to make you feel completely stupid...

    Thanks for any help..

Use an FTP program, or if you've got some control panel access for your webspace, you should have some variety of file manager to browse through the folders and files you've uploaded.

    Hi,

You need to upload the image file on blog directory at web server with FTP, which you want to display in the header. Now, modify the header.php or style.css file from where the image of the header is called and change the image path to new uploaded image.

    Thanks,

    Shane G.

Figured it out! Thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to reply!

(Scary that I couldn't remember that I went into my cPanel for my hosting service to do this before...)

    Ketubahdiva,

Like you, I don't know how to get into the Atahualpa directory to be able to follow the instructions that it provides me. I want to change the header so I can use some of my own photos and can't get into the directory. The help you already received suggested that you should use an FTP program OR use the control panel provided by your ISP host.

Apparently whatever you did worked for you. Can you give me more specific details on what you did?

    Thanks,
    TxPanhandleChp
