I installed wordpress (thru godaddy's wp hosting) and everything seems to be fine with the exception of one issue.
Regardless of what theme I install and activate, the background on the home page is missing. It shows up on the other pages w/o issue.
I have not altered the code in anyway. This happens with all themes - those that are pre-installed and those that I have uploaded.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

you can't use rich text editors like office as they eventually bork your layout with extraneous code.
Clean the junk from your posts and it should work.

Forgive me...I have no idea what that means? I simply imported my posts from the previous site w/o issue. I didn't change anything.
If you can share with me the specifics of what I need to do to make this work, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you! Caryn

Samboll - YOU ROCK!!! I simply put the posts into notepad and then reposted, the background is there!!! Thanks so much for helping out a newbie!
