I have the exactly same problem here after upgrade to 1.5.4! Strange thing is, that in the plug-ins directory it is listed under deactivated plug-ins. If I go to the WordPress.com Stats Menu in the plug-ins section then the status message is:
The WordPress.com Stats Plugin is configured and working.
And it seems that it still counts my visitors. I have to keep a look on the counts. The graphics coming up properly.
Is it activated even it is listed under deactivated plugins? Is it working or not? Who can help me/us?
Thanks a lot,
Steffen
The counter is still working even it is in the deactivated list
Yes, I tried yesterday and then tried again today; I’m having the same problem so figure there’s a bug; hope it gets fixed!
i hope it gets fixed too, and also the counter, and the problems with the graphic…hopefully someone will have good news, and tell us we’ll have it working well soon
anyone with a solution or help for this? please…
Reading the other threads it is clear there are a lot of people still waiting for a solution to this problem. For now it looks like the best thing to do is stick with Version 1.5.
I think someone screwed up packaging the update kit.
If you look at the zip archive, you will see two copies of the whole kit, one in /stats and one in /stats/trunk. There is a tiny difference in the two stats.php files in each kit, one says “blog” and one says “site” in a few places, but these differences are just in labels and have no bearing on the program code.
Since I didn’t install the 1.5.4 update when I noticed this, this is a guess; but if you’ve already installed the update, I would bet that if you deleted the /trunk directory and its contents off your website that things will work correctly.
Thanks rayfusci, that seems to work.
Thanks rayfusci, that fixed the error sign coming out when reinstalling.
I just still can’t see the graph, and I should wait one day, or some hours, to tell you if now the counter of stats is accumulating information well, or deleting it every day.
For now, thanks a lot!
okay, some days after then… the plugin seems to be working, but still it is not working well. the counter of stats does not accumulate, and i get an “400 Bad Request – nginx ” message when trying to go to the page of the pluging. And the graph still not working.
Basically, the upgrade hasn’t fix any problem for me yet.
Ideas please???
I’ve been seeing zero stats for almost two weeks. Is there a fix coming soon?
Forget what I said. It turns out the plugin did not reactivate when I upgraded. π
Yeah I’m not able to complete the upgrade; as it has been for a couple of weeks, I still get
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 593343 bytes) in /home/portigal/domains/portigal.com/public_html/wp/wp-includes/http.php on line 1327
I deleted the /trunk file, deleted/replaced the flash file, went back to 1.5.3 and still get nothing at the dashboard. I click login and it acts like it’s doing it, but the login never goes away.
I have never gotten memory errors or ANY errors, it just stopped working when I upgraded to 1.5.4 (WP 2.8.4) and none of the fixes seen on this board has worked, nor has going back to 1.5.3.
What next?
Sadly, this is the only plugin I could find that will display your stats in the Dashboard, which is VERY convenient.
If there is an alternative, please tell me. I don’t think the developers of this plugin are offering any support for these issues anyway.
Thanks!
Angela
I, personally, gave up and went back to an older version. not really working well neither, the graph is not there yet and i can only see the stats on the dashboard, the stats page does not work still. until there’s no other better plugin or this one gets better, seems we, unable to program a better one, we’ll have to wait for someone else to do it better.
