   Hi!

   Installed Wordpress using Installatron provided by my webhost. Everything seemed fine, but as you can see at my url: http://www.jonasskriver.se, it´s not working.

   I can:
   *Log in to wordpress dashboard, write a post, change theme etc.

   I can´t:
   *See the site - the message I get is "To change this page, upload your website into the public_html directory".
   *Preview any of the themes within the dashboard. The preview I see is the same as above "To change this page, upload your website into the public_html directory".

   I´ve tried:
   Rename the following: domains/jonasskriver.se/public_html/index.php thinking that it might overwrite everything in domains/jonasskriver.se/public_html/wp_content but the result was a new message "Forbidden access".

   What am I doing wrong? Why can´t I see my website?

   Try removing/renaming the index.html page in your root folder.

   Thank you for a quick answer.

   However ... domains/jonasskriver is the root-folder (I think). And the "highest" index.html page I´ve goot is: domains/jonasskriver.se/public_html/index.php.

   And that is the index-file I´ve tried to remove/rename?

   Sorry - by "root", I meant public_html. Did you install WP in public_html?

   Yes, that´s were it´s installed!

   Try contacting your hosting provider. They may be redirecting your domain to a holding page based on the absence of an index.html file in public_html.

   OK - I´ll do that. But there is an index.html file in public_html. Anyway - they might be able to help me. Thank you for your time!

   ??? I thought you said there wasn't an index.html file in public_html? Try re-naming it to something like index.html.old.

   There is an index.html and an index.php in public_html. I´ve tried to rename and move both of them with the result of my website saying: "Forbidden access"

    Renaming index.html should not result in a problem on a well-configured server that is running PHP. Contact your hosting provider. They may need to sort this out.
