   I wish to create something like http://www.crunchbase.com/
   with WordPress.org (So to have one website that is a "database", and another one, which is a blog, that connects to it).

   Is it possible? and how?

   Since Wordpress work with plugins, I'd say yes, it's quite possible.
   You must know how to code into PHP and manipulate MySql.

   Can you maybe help me think of a basic layout of how to do it ?

   What I want is a "data base" of (let's say) companies and people inside them.
   For each of them I need a "page".
   And I want that in a second website, I'll be able to "take information" from the first website, regarding those people/companies (just the same as what crunch base does for techcrunch)
