   I have recently noticed the TinyMCE editor on my WP is gone and replaced with something simple. Is TinyMCE replaced with something else on WP 2.8.4?

   No, it's still there by default.

   Have you installed any plugins that might replace it?
   Are you sure you're not just in HTML mode? (rather than 'Visual' which has all the fancy buttons)

   I have the same issue. Have done clean installs but to no avail.

   I am in visual mode. But you are right. I might have installed a plugin that has replaced that. The problem is I cannot figure out what plugin might have caused it.
