I've had my blog all year. Suddenly, in the past week I've received three emails that "Your new WordPress blog has been successfully set up". When I click the link of my URL (www.ainse.ca), it directs me to the "Welcome the 5-Minute WP installation" window. I'm thinking, why do I need to install it again? I haven't done anything with any of my files. At any rate, because I can't seem to find my blog anywhere, I click on the install link. The next thing I see is a page full of crash errors. My hosting service is Netfirms. I haven't received any communication from them about any issues. I can't seem to find any current information about this problem happening to anyone else. If anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

(I entered 2.8 for the version I was using, but I'm not sure that's correct, since I can't actually check.)

That doesn't seem to help me. When I go here: http://ainse.ca/wp-admin/install.php, I get the "Welcome to the famous five minute WordPress installation process!" so I'm not really sure where to go from there. I can't actually log in to anything if it's telling me I don't even have WP installed, right? And I NEVER uninstalled it.

Have you taken a minute to examine your database and see if there has been some type of corruption there? In fact there is more than one person in this thread that seems to be pretty sure that you have had a database malfunction.

What was the result of running the repair procedure on your database? Failing that, you may need to reinstall one of your database backups.
