   Hi,

   I'm fairly new to WordPress but I would like to build a retail site for our business that sells cards for different occasions while using a theme that we are interested in purchasing. It's a blog theme which is widgetized but I'm wondering if it can be modified into an ecommerce site or do you have to start with an ecommerce theme and go from there? The ecommerce themes that I've been finding aren't quite the look we're going for. Can I use the WP e-commerce plug in and modify this template to create an online store? I also want customers to be able to search for products along with using categories to find them. I know that this is a general question but I'm trying to see if it can be done before spending a lot of time with this approach. I'm not locked into WP e-commerce plug in if there are better solutions.

   I would love to know this also. There are VERY FEW WP e-commerce themes that I even like. I am not opposed to buying a premium theme at this point but I want to know what the e-commerce driven themes have that the regular themes do not??
