   Events calendar 6.6 is conflicting with "Fast and Secure Contact Form" plugin
   http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/si-contact-form/

   Problem: Events calendar javascript is is replacing 3 of the captcha images with an animated loading gif from this directory: plugins/events-calendar/images/loading.gif

   Solution: Events Calendar should not change other plugins images.

   Noticed this myself. Replaced all my gallery files with that one above. Images went back to normal when deactivated. Think it might be best waiting for 7.0.

   same issue here, loading.gif replaces all instances of img in the source code, whether it is in the theme or in other plugins. will need to go back to the previous version...

   I confirm. It replaces even regular images inserted with 'img src=".." /' tag. The 6.6 beta plugin is still buggy on 2.8.4 wordpress version.

   Yes, the solution works but still are many other problems with this, so
   until the bugs are solved, I use Event Calendar 3 which is working great on Wordpres 2.8.4.
