Created a WP.com blog and want to start advertising and selling on it, so instead of http://www.mysite.wordpress.com, I want to use http://www.mysite.com

    [x] Bought Godaddy Linux Host
    [x] Installed WP in it
[x] MYSQL DB up and running

What I believe that I can do is download my WP.com site into a file, then upload it into WP.org via http://mysite.com/wp-admin/

I have read all the tutorials, watched the YouTubes, and nothing seems to help. When you install the WP app in godaddy, you are asked for user name and PW, I'm assuming this is to access the http://mysite.com/wp-admin/ which will get me into a WP.org blog - I have tried my WP.com user name/pw, a original user name/pw and this username/pw none of them works to get me in. If I have to Download the 2.8.4, then make the changes and FTP it, that is fine too, but I can't do anything without being able to get into http://mysite.com/wp-admin/
    Can I?
    Help! Thanks.
