According to my Wordpress.com stats, I recently had a new post take over the 5th most popular spot. However, the previous post is still displayed in the sidebar. I am using the php function instead of the widget. Code I'm using is below. I have also deactivated and activated the Wordpress Stats and Popular Posts plugins, but no change.
<?php WPPP_show_popular_posts('title=<h2>Popular Posts</h2>&show=posts'); ?>
Any thoughts on what's not working?
It could be that the wordpress.com stats is counting differently than the php function. There should not be a huge difference but it's possible.
Hi,
Check with these options:
-> upgrade your wordpress and plugin to the latest version
-> Disable all the plugins and enable it one by one.
Thanks,
Shane G.
There are lies, damn lies and statistics. This is especially true when using stats software...
-> upgrade your wordpress and plugin to the latest version
What's with the generic suggestions?
I strongly agree with esmi, don't trust the stats and just leave it be unless it's that important to you.
