   Oh Please someone help me with a hair pulling issue... I'm going crazy!

   I got a blog custom http://www.twittergeek.info and I followed he directions to move a blog from one server to another by backing up the sql, and the files.

   on the new server I have installed a fresh copy of wordpress, uploaded all my files wp-content and images and whatnot and deleted the swl that the fresh install created and uploaded mine.

   first the site was going nowhere couldn't get it to do NOTHING now I have the front page and none the links work...

   i' really could use someone to walk me though this or do it for me with a little compensation

   When I click a link it takes me to: http://www.twittergeek.info/wp-admin/install.php

   I suggest doing as WP says and giving it that information. If you already did, what happens next?

   EDIT: actually your links are working now that you changed the permalinks.

   theres a blog there. i think i was looking as you posted, kevin. the permalinks are leadinjg to 404s though.

   http://www.twittergeek.info/wp-login.php

   login and re-generate your permalinks, solidsoul.

   the permalinks are being done .. i could tell as I clicked around

   Yea, I see...I assumed he was moving to a different web address and maybe then links were causing the problem...see now it was the same address...looks like its fixed.

   There was a setting in the admin that was using a different way for the linking i changed to default ?page= something like that and it worked...

   one last question dunno if I should just open another post or what? http://www.bloggingplan.info this is a strange one... site was uploaded and for some reason it's showing the twittergeek.info header????

   there on the same server but two different accounts????
