   I have enabled the Akismet plugin and want to start using it, but can't find my API key to activate it. I followed both help links from the plug-ins page and it took me to the main wordpress.com page... then wouldn't allow me to log in.

   Do I need a separate log in for the wordpress.org and the wordpress.com sites?

   Even when I tried to sign up on the wordpress.com site, it just said 'this page cannot be found'.

   Any help would be appreciated!

   Hi,

   To get an Akismet key you need to create a login on Wordpress.com (if its saying page not found, give it a few it just worked for me when I tested it). Then you just go to your profile once you login and it will give you your API key there.
