   I just upgraded to 2.8.4. After successfully doing so and re-entering the backend, I can no longer save posts or pages. The sidebar that contains the "Publish" and "Categories" tools are not appearing in either the page or post interfaces.

   This has pretty much brought production to a halt, is there a fix for this?

   I just did an automatic upgrade of Wordpress (through Tools > Upgrade) and that fixed the issue. Previously, I used the Wordpress Automatic Upgrade plugin.
