   oi,

   so i'm leaving the country for about a week, and i want some of my authors to be able to approve comments, i read about these levels you can set them to but i do not see them, what am i missing.

   Or search for a plugin for more flexibility.

   thanks, looking at option one, where do i edit a file with those settings ?

   Look in Dashboard - Under Users and if you are the Admin you can change what any user can do by editing any user - click on a user and change their roll - then change them back when you get back in town -

   thanks Saildude.... but i think i want my authors to be able to approve comments even after i'm back.

   You can upgrade your Authors to Editors

   In looking at the Roles and Capabilities Page

   page it looks like you could tweak an Author to be able to add approve comments and publish posts for Authors but how to is above my understanding of WordPress

   yea, i read that as well, but i do not see user level and or a config file where i can set it.
