   Hi

   I seek to build a new website for a large archive/library of articles (40,000+) with new entries added everyday. I need to provide a search function, a daily digest email service, subscribe/unsubscribe. The site may take on new features such as a donations link, comments, etc.

   Is wordpress a good tool to accomplish these tasks? I have read that WP is better and easier than drupal to accomplish these needs.

   You might want to ask this question on the WP Hackers list. ( I am working on a similar site that will have about 4,000 posts (book reviews) with custom fields per post, but 4,000 is a long way from 40,000. )

   There are some very experienced WP developers on the hackers list who would likely have good suggestions for you if you ask the right questions.
