Tables from DB dropped and restored – Now NO New Comments or New Registation

    We run and operate the-sounds.com. We had a major boo boo the other day. My server admin accidentally dropped the tables necessary to run WP. Super big Problem. We contacted our host and they had a bkup of the DB thank the lord. The restored the data. Woot website back up and running.

    Well everything seemed fine and dandy. Until we started to get reports like “We can’t comment” and our BB-Press forum won’t list the posts or new topics that people are posting but it seems like they go into the DB but are not being requested correctly back to the stage of the document that is published.

    I saw: I am getting an the ERROR 404 page and a broken comment link that looks like this
    “http://the-sounds.com/comment-page-/#comment-” right after I Test the comments.

    Plus the users cant register ne more and we get this ERROR: Couldn’t register you… please contact the webmaster !

    Can someone please help, us?

    Finally after critical diagnositic trail and error testing.

    It was an issue with the Auto Increment not being programmed into the sql DB amidst the restoration process by the host.

    Auto-increment allows a unique number to be generated when a new record is inserted into a table.

    Back up and running faster than before.
