i second this request 🙂
as far as i understand, the original fancybox current version allows for three title / caption displays:
– outside (like now, below the image with that round frame that ‘breaks’ on my site too)
– inside (on a wider border below the image; i think that is what you are proposing)
– overlay (caption is writen over the bottom part of the image with a somewhat darkened background)
it would be great if the fancybox for wordpress plugin would support these three display options!
I also would like to see the 3 options for title display. As far as I understand it, is that the plugin is based on the old(er) version of fancybox and therefore it is not possible to use these different options for title display.
The WordPress plugin uses jquery.fancybox-1.2.6.min.js whereas the current fancybox uses jquery.fancybox-1.3.1.pack.js
On this page (http://fancybox.net/api) you can see all the possibilities with that newer version.
Any chance that the developer of the WordPress plugin makes an upgrade?
Hoping to see this plugin get up to speed with fancybox 1.3.1’s new options.
Thanks for this great plugin nonetheless!
Hi tessina and others,
Any particular options that you have in mind?
I’m not the developer of FancyBox for WordPress by I started a little plugin called [Easy FancyBox](http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-fancybox/) which uses FancyBox version 1.3.1.
However, the aim ( and the name ) of my plugin is to keep it EASY and not bother you with options. Just one preset way of presenting the images on your site. You can see the current preset on http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/easy-fancybox/screenshots/ and if that is what you are looking for, you’re in luck 😉
But if you have some other option in mind that most users might prefer to have enabled by default, I might consider to code that in for the next release 🙂
Hi, title customization and more will come in FB for WP 3.0, should be ready in a few days. 🙂
