Hosting with plugins

    Hi,

    I’d like to use WP as a CMS for a small website, and I’m looking for a hosted solution.

    However I need certain plugins like forums, tag cloud, calendar(s) etc. Are there any companies that host WP that offer these kind of functions out of the box?

    (I could set up WP myself at a cheap host, but I do not have the time to maintain it, and need something that just works, upgrades taken care of etc.)

    Hi kwurp,

    Almost all hosting services provide you with ability to install WP by pressing of a button.
    There are plugins for everything in the plugin directory in this site.

    DO expect to invest some time to adjust setting and instal plugins. When you install WP start by adjusting basic setting of wordpress [spam link moderated]

    Don’t hesitate to start using WP. It’s great

    OK, so what you say is

    • most hosting services have one-click install of WP
    • plugins can be installed by “one-click” as well?
    • the hosting company will take care of (security) upgrades etc?

    Thanks for helping me out, (apart from reading blogs, I do not have much knowledge of WP) 🙂
