   Can't update to 2.8.4 Have deactivated plugins - ideas?

   Error Message:

   Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.8.4.zip

   Unpacking the core update

   Could not copy files

   Installation Failed

   Do it manually.

   r_word,

   I usually do it manually, but if you are getting this error, it is usually a result of permission issues on the WP directories on your server.
