Having a strange issue...I ran the automatic upgrade for WP 3.1.1 one of my installs and the upgrade worked fine until the step where it is asking me to upgrade the DB. When I try to hit the admin screen it prompts be to initiate the DB upgrade and after I click the button I get a page with the WordPress logo at the top but then nothing happens after this point.
Has anyone else seen this by chance or know of a way to complete this process? Help is greatly appreciated - thanks.
Try:
- switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
- resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
- re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.
- re-running the upgrade manually using wp-admin/upgrade.php.

Thanks, I ended up having to use option #2 you provided and manually deleting all traces of W3 Total Cache, but I got it fixed.
