I have a local version and a remote version of my site. When I import from one to the other (to keep them in sync) I find that my custom fields get duplicated in any posts that already exist in the target installation. Any ideas how to prevent this?

Posted 2 months ago #Temporary Fix: I installed the "Custom Field Taxonomies" plugin, which includes a function that removes all duplicate custom fields. Works nicely. Still, there ought to be a way to prevent this from taking place when importing.
