3.1 update database field error

Hi,

I upgraded to 3.1 and upgraded my database as well. In the previous verion I have replicated the post_title in another custom table and field in mysql. I used this seperate database to call and display a google map. The problem is that after the install the database still calls to the post_title but it doesn’t add the hyphens between the words in the original title. WordPress still does it and I can view the posts by clicking on the latest posts for instance, and it adds the hyphens to create the permalink. The custom table and field however displays the ”link” as seperate words with spaces in between, thereby making the links all go 404. I have read loads of posts about problems with updates to 301, and was just HOPING someone would be able to give me an idea of what to try.
