   I loaded 3.1 manually for http://www.bergiesplace.com. The home page, however, is a "plain" listing. I have checked and 2010 is in there in wp-content/themes/twetyten.

   Also, I can get to the Dashboard but when I click on Bergies Place on the Dashboard I get a 404.

   Also, I tried uploading a new photograph by clicking on Header. My uploaded picture appears but when I Crop and Publish the image turns blank and the system freezes.

   It seems that current SiteURL is:

   http://www.bergiesplace.com/Newsite/

   Try to change sitewurl to http://www.bergiesplace.com/ using phpMyAdmin:
   http://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

   Thanks for the suggestion. I moved all of the 3.1 files to my root directory; I used phpMyAdmin to change the entries for siteurl and home in wp-options; and checked that my 1&1 Domain Destination is the root directory. So, http://www.bergiesplace.com is working again after months of part time struggling and frustrations with upgrades to 2.8 and 3 and 3.05 and now 3.1, with a update of MySql to 5 along the way and a new theme along the way. Doing WordPress on other servers is not for sissies. Now maybe I can get some content added.
