Thanks for clarification! So this is a major update with so many changes that is better to update the whole thing. Hope my customized Atahualpa 3.6.4 theme and 26 plugins are ready to re-connect to mother-ship after deactivation before the update. Plugins, don’t be bitchy! Ok, think positive, I’ll keep my fingers crossed. Little prayer isnt bad, too. I have to get through this….

If you do it manually, I would go so far as to delete wp-includes and wp-admin and THEN copy the files up.
