Can’t access wp-admin after upgrade

    Hello! I’m a fool and have cut myself off from my own website.
    Everything on the site itself still looks and works fine, but I can no longer access my administration pages. When I try, I get the following error message:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function cpm_wpmu_modify_path() in /home/masamage/runewoodabbey.com/wp-content/plugins/comicpress-manager/comicpress_manager_library.php on line 90

    I’m thinking it might be because I didn’t deactivate my ComicPress plugin before I upgraded. Embarrassingly, I also didn’t make backups. >_> Like I said, a fool. I was seduced by the apparent easiness of the one-click upgrade, and driven by a sense of urgency from the recent security warnings, and failed to read anything. So I’m glad the site is still functioning, but I’m not sure what to do next.

    I’m sorry I’m a doofus. Please help?

    Another thought… I can probably fix this by upgrading to the newest ComicPress, but I’m afraid to do so, as I have a pretty heavily modified theme running–with my own graphics, layout, etc. Won’t upgrading CP destroy all that?

    I guess I could back /it/ up first…

    This would be so much easier if I had done this in the right order and not destroyed my admin panels. >_>

    I did something similar yesterday. The fix for me was to chmod the wp-admin directory to 755.

    Hi,

    First upgrade your wordpress plugin comicpress-manager to the latest version and if it does not work then disable that plugin in order to work your blog perfectly.

    Okay, but how do I preserve my site layout? If I upgrade ComicPress, won’t it destroy all my CSS files?

    Okay, so I ended up going to WordPress’s release archive and just replacing my update with the version I had originally started with. I had to update the database, but everything went back to normal–I can use my dashboard again. Hurrah!

    So now I can do this all in the correct order, with backups, and it’ll go a lot more smoothly. X)

    What version of WordPress are you running?
