• I updated both WordPress and Twitter Tools to the latest versions at the same time, and now Twitter Tools doesn’t write the url in my tweets anymore. It just says: “New blog post: the title of the post” – but no url. I tried removing Twitter Tools just to add it again in case I messed up the settings somehow, but when I added it again, all my old settings were there. How do I remove it completely (if that’s a possible solution)?

  • I’m having the same problem, but I don’t want to remove it completely, I just want it to start posting the URLs to my blog posts again. I upgraded the day the new version came out and the next post I had didn’t have a URL. Removing and reinstalling Twitter Tools doesn’t fix it.

Did ya’ll get any answer to this because I have the same problem on a fresh install…

    Anyone? [echo echo echo……….]

Same problem here… deactivated all my Plugins but still no URL in Posts?
I have another blog on the same server and it did it with no problem?
Wonder if it a Theme thing?

I have the same problem with one site. Only on another site did not have the problem. I noticed that on the one that worked I had not activated the three helper plug ins, Exclude cats, hashtags and Bit.ly URLs.

By activating and deactivating and publishing posts I found that when I deactivated the Bit.ly URLs helper plug in i did get the url to the blog post in the tweet.

I just did a fresh install of my blog and have the same problem. On my old install it worked just fine.

I had none of the other twitter plugins activated but still no url. Tried activating the bit.ly one and registering, still no url.
It’s very annoying and some what pointless to have this active if the url won’t show up.

    I still haven’t found a solution 🙁

    No solution here either?
I’d be happy just to get my real URL to show!
Come on Mr. King! Get that great mind of your working! 😉

I fixed it by deactivating bit.ly and unmarking give credit to author checkbox.
    The full Url showed up..
I reactivated bit.ly and it worked?
    Don’t have a clue why?

Same problem. The solution daddyoh101 provided worked for me: “I fixed it by deactivating bit.ly and unmarking give credit to author checkbox.”

Wow, worked for me too! Thanks, daddyoh101! 😀

Oddly enough this is the functionality I am looking for. I don’t want any URL. Would anyone know how to achieve this?
