I just recently moved from blogger to Wp it was a walk in the park thanks to catsutorial and Andy’s Tool. But just today i saw that my Archive Pages are just showing up as HTML docs. On my sidebar when i click on any monthly link – it takes me to my servers directory showing various posts.

my blog is <link>http://teeth.com.pk/blog</link&gt; click on any Archive link on the side-panel and maybe you might be able to help me solve this problem. Thanks in advance

  • I’m no longer familiar with the Blogger importing scripts, but you shouldn’t need any of the HTML files stored in those directories.

WordPress archives do not use real directories. When WordPress sees a URL like http://www.teeth.com.pk/blog/2005/01/ it pulls from the database all the posts from Jan 2005. Since you have real directories, though, that overrides WordPress, and your webserver just serves up the content in the directories.

Back up those files somewhere else just to be safe and DELETE them all AND their directories (2005/01/).

Thanx it worked like a charm – I just deleted the entire directory – 2005 and others and BINGO it rocks – thanx

    Awesome. Glad it works.
