WP frontpage hacked by “sniper bagdahd”?

    My WP front has been hacked.
    luckily the smf forum is still intact but, man am I really angry.
    Everything on the server (ftp) all files seem to be fine but, I am not a pro at this by any means…
    Where could I get some help trying to fix this? And what do I need to do?

    PS, I already changed the passwds for my ftp access and CPanel (hosting passwd)

    ok, found they altered the index.php and fixed it
    however, now I cannot login and get message “invalid username”

    so, they seem to have taken over the admin
    how do I fix this?

    All set, I used my “mysql database” and knocked the rotten bugger right out and took back control of my site…. WHEW!!!!! 🙂

    I have the email the attacking entity is using or used to register… I saved it from mysql. Any advice on what might be done next to get this (whatever it is) listed on the naughty-list? for others to be aware of?

    contact your host with any info you have. it’s their hardware, their ip space.
