   I've been using the Google Sitemaps plugin to ping Google everytime I update something on my blog. I just recently discovered Google Webmaster Tools, and I see there's an option there to specify my sitemap url, which I did.

   Will notifying Google of the sitemap on Webmaster Tools in some way interfere with notifying them via the plugin?

   no - in fact, it is encouraged to do that
