Sorry for the delayed response itamar. I have been dealing with computer and internet access problems for over a week now.

my website is TheUnclean.com (a niche site geared toward the alt, counter & subculture community). You can see the current member list (over 215) at TheUnclean.com/necrofiles/

I am wondering if there is a function/hook I use to have Gigya check for a Social network avatar then display it.

ps: I also use these plugins to round-out the user experience for my readers:

When your users log in via the Gigya plugin, they will have their profile photo thumbnail automatically stored. Thus, if you’re using the standard get_avatar function in your theme, the email based gravatar will be replaced with their profile photo from the social network.

Yeah, the problem with the whole “AVATAR” thing is that Services such as Gravitar aren’t taken into consideration when the theme is built.

I have a Gravitar account listing the four different email addresses I use online. I have an account on a WordPress based web site under the username of BAMAJR. My username on Facebook, Twitter & Linkedin is also BAMAJR. Yet if I log into the same WordPress based web site with my Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin accounts, they all create a different user profile for me, with my name displayed in three different ways. And none of them bring over an email address which can be used within the WordPress based web site.

Yet, my Avatar is the same on all three of the new user accounts created by logging in with my Facebook, Twitter & Linkedin credentials as it is with the original account I have created directly on the WordPress based web site.

There needs to be an integration between the Avatar services and the Gigya services, or it is just a pain in the ass!
