• I’ve just set up WordPress on a new site. I noticed while setting things up that on editing a link, I get the following error:

    WordPress Failure Notice
Are you sure you want to do this?

    Please try again.

In order to “edit” a link, I need to delete and re-add it. Not the worst problem, but definitely annoying.

At the time, I had no plugins installed or activated. Other posts I’ve seen with this issue have all said to make sure they’re disabled, so that wasn’t an issue here. I’ve not seen any posts in which this was resolved.

While I don’t think it’s related, I’ve WordPress is set up in its own directory, with index.php on the site’s root. That, and that it’s fresh from latest.tar.gz (rather than updated from previous versions) are the only differences between this problem site and another one I’ve got which has no problems editing links.

Anyone know what might be causing this?

Okay, I noticed in this support request that it’s also suggested to change the theme to default and try that.

Editing links worked fine after that. I’m using a slightly modified version (changed the header to show a picture rather than having text) of Constructor v0.5.1. I also tried switching to the recently updated v0.5.2. Both have this issue.

What part of a theme could prevent editing links?

I reproduced this is issue, and working under it. Thx for your report
