I'm new to WP, so please be kind.

My core e-mail address is no longer recognized or known by Wordpress. I use Blue Host and loaded my WP site using Simple Scripts. I was able to get on my on site back in June 09 and just tried again to do some updating, but to no avail.

When I attempted to have password remailed to me, I never hit my inbox!

I received the copied e-mail from Simple Scripts:

HELLO and CONGRATULATIONS on the installation of your new Wordpress site.

This email contains information necessary to access your site's configuration, change your password, and get support.

    Access URL: http://www.sparre-site.com/

You can use the following information to administer your new site.

    Admin Panel: http://www.sparre-site.com/wp-admin
    Admin Username: admin
    Admin Password: (removed)

Please note that Bluehost can only support the installation, upgrade, and removal processes of Wordpress. Support for Wordpress can be obtained directly through Wordpress at http://www.wordpress.org.

    Thanks again for using SimpleScripts!

I think I upgraded from 2.7 to 2.8, would cause any problems?

Can anyone help me with this dilemna? : (

    Thanks Samboll,

I attempted to get a new password via e-mail (I cannot get pass the admin login screen). It tells me to check my e-mail, but nothing is coming through. Also, it doesn't recongize my e-mail.

"ERROR: There is no user registered with that email address."

How do I get through the admin login screen, when WP doesn't seem to recognize my e-mail address or userID?

jonsparre: Read the rest of samboll's link. There's more than one way to change your password, if you have the correct access to the server.

    johnsparre,

Can you get access to phpmyadmin of your web server? You go to the control panel of your web server set up and look for a link for phpmyadmin amongst the Mysql or database panel. And then try to do what Codex tells you to do as indicated by samboll.
