   I read some articles that talk about the use of the sitemaps by scrapers to steal content from a site. The articles suggest changing the default name of sitemap.xml to something else. If I do this will the Google Sitemap Generator plugin still work? What else do I need to change for it to work?

   I just answered my own question. I didn't see the option in the plugin settings under Location of your Site map File. I changed the names there and of the file itself and so far it seems to be working. Keeping my fingers crossed. The only question is will Google and other Search Engines still recognize the uniquely named file as a site map?

   Just keep the "ping" feature enabled and the plugin will tell the search engines about your sitemap :)
