I’m using the latest WordPress and Atahualpa versions downloaded 2 days ago.

When I look at my site, http://goodlifemenus.com , the widgets are showing up. Since this is not going to be a blog, I need to remove the Archives and recent posts and maybe the Admin widgets, and change the Categories to pointing to pages (some of which will be password protected).

Yet when I go into the Dashboard under Widgets, they’re all showing as being Inactive so I can’t delete or change them.

I also need to figure out how to have a list of links to my pages in the sidebar, rather than having widgets that point to categories.

TIA if anyone can help me figure this out.

Sorry, was in posts tagged with the theme Atahualpa, so I didn’t know the question would get stuck here. Mods, please move it for me, thanks!

I’m not sure, but I think Atahualpa has its own widget section. Try looking for that in your admin section.

It does have its own widget section, but it only lets you add new widgets or design what the existing ones display as. I am not seeing anywhere that will allow me to actually prevent them from displaying, or change what things point to.

Ok, sort of have it figured out. For some reason on Dashboard, I wasn’t seeing the widgets that Atahualpa has. Once you put any one of them in any sidebar, that is the ONLY thing that will display (wiping out the default widgets). You can then add back in whatever you like, in any order.
