    The solution is simple: deactivate the "wordpress-automatic-upgrade" plugin

    I do NOT have such plugin installed. All files under wordpress folder aren't read-only.
    Activated plugins:
    - Google Analytics for WordPress
    - Google XML Sitemaps
    - Lightbox JS v2.03.3 Plugin
    - Plugin Manager
    - TinyMCE Advanced

    Any suggestions?
